A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection method, consisting of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected.
Fire pumps are utilized to enhance water pressure within a fire protection system, ensuring an efficient and reliable water supply for firefighting purposes. These pumps play a crucial role in maintaining adequate water flow and pressure, which is essential for controlling and extinguishing fires effectively.
Fire hydrants are one of the most accessible parts of a water distribution system, connected directly to the water supply main to provide water to every hydrant outlet. It is intended to provide water for the firemen to fight a fire.
Fire hose reel systems consist of pumps, pipes, water supply, and strategically placed hose
reels to ensure adequate water coverage for fighting fires. This system is operated manually
by releasing a valve, which allows water to flow through the hose.
Deluge systems are connected to a water supply through a deluge valve that is opened by the
operation of a smoke or heat detection system. The system is very effective in hazardous areas
because it releases water or another fire suppressant to all the open sprinkler heads
simultaneously.
